Alcott Newsletter I hope that everyone has had a wonderful first month of school.  It was wonderful to see so many of you at Back to School Night!  I want to express my appreciation on behalf of the staff for the PTG sponsored breakfast following Back to School Night.  It was a wonderful treat after a long (but meaningful) night! Dear Alcott Families, What an amazing first few days of school we have had!  Our halls, which were silent just a few days ago, are now filled with the sounds of laughter and learning.  It is wonderful to see everyone settling in, reconnecting with former teachers and old friends, and developing new ones. Last Thursday, we had our first fire drill.  Everyone did a wonderful job – we evacuated the entire building in two minutes and twenty seconds. Alcott Newsletter May 2024 I hope this newsletter finds everyone doing well.  Somehow, the end of school sneaks up on me each and every year.  This year is certainly no different – I am genuinely in disbelief that we only have three full weeks and a partial week left before summer vacation! Alcott Newsletter March 2024 I can’t believe it is March already!  I am grateful for the longer days (goodbye 4:28 sunsets!) and the arrival of some more spring-like weather.  Before launching into updates and reminders, I just want to thank everyone who participated in sending roses to Alcott staff for Valentine’s Day.  This event continues to be one that is deeply appreciated by all.  I truly wish that families could be present to see the expressions of surprise, delight and appreciation on staff faces when they walk into school on the morning that roses are delivered.
